’Chemical Camouflage’

Proud to say I have composed an original soundtrack for Nina’s new film ‘Chemical Camouflage’, made together with creative director David Laporte. The film shows design as a protective layer shaping transformation, expression and concealment.

As Nina and I have done more often - we wanted to find a twist or something unexpected in the music. Just like the film the music needed a certain contrast showing light & intimacy versus darkness and tension.

After many experiments I ended up recording cellist Jonas Pap directly to the film over some minimal slow electronic beats which really hit home what we were going for.

Additionally to reflect nature in the music I’ve composed a melody with just natural harmonies - which creates a very meditative effect. Geeky - I know! But I believe also to the unknowing ear this will have an effect.

It was a tough cookie to crack but I think the end result turned out beautiful and it was worth all the different experiments.
